Lord of The Rings meets Matilda in this intricately woven and adventurous tale, Pentagon Pirate Gang: The Secret of The Orchard by J.W. Nelson. Aime and Oro Snave attend the School of Fruit Teaching (S.O.F.T.) summer camp for six weeks. It's supposed to be memorable and entertaining. Unfortunately for Aime, Oro, and their friends Gramon, Semia, and Violer, it's full of unwarranted and distressing moments.

Readers are taken along on their journey as they work to uncover hidden school secrets involving the headmistress, Mrs. Blackfruit, and some of her co-conspirators, including Mr. Thornby, a teacher, and Freddie Letman, a student. Mrs. Blackfruit has kept this secret for 50 years and refuses to divulge it. What's the secret? Aime, Oro, and their friends form a group known as the Pentagon Pirate Gang, determined to discover what Mrs. Blackfruit is hiding and how it connects to them and their family lineage.

The tone of this story is cheerful and the narrative voice is captivating. The characters are charismatic and assertive, and there are engaging and sparkling dialogues. The plot is well-written, and the strong imagery welcomes readers from the first page. Non-stop action and the urge to witness Mrs. Blackfruit's demise will intrigue the reader; the ending is satisfying. Readers of all ages will enjoy this wonderful tale. Pentagon Pirate Gang: The Secret of The Orchard is a lighthearted book with compelling characters, picturesque scenes, and an ending that will leave you wanting more! It's a must-read!
