Sweet Little You by Joni Halabi is colorfully illustrated by Lisa Wee. Before having her baby, a mother makes plans for her child. While it takes two to tango, she has been the only one in the parenting game, finding a way to make a baby. When her dream finally comes true, she makes a promise to her the little child to her the child dream big and explore and find the adventure that life has in store. She delivers a heartwarming promise to always be there for the child and help the child be who it is meant to be.

This book contains a delightful message for both single mothers and their children, and as a single mom, it was the best message I could share with my five-year-old daughter. You won't imagine the thrill she had, hugging and telling me, “I love you mom.” It is brief, to the point, but colorfully illustrated. The illustrator uses soothing colors to portray the tenderness of a mother's love, the garden to symbolize growth in a loving environment and the author delivers a message that will encourage both single moms and their children to have a positive, healthy outlook on life. It doesn't necessarily take more than two to make a family. This book teaches readers that family is about love and that it only takes a parent willing to love their child to create an adventure that is invigorating and life-transforming. Halabi is a highly creative Children’s author, and Sweet Little You makes for a perfect gift that can be given as a message of love from mother to child. I simply loved it!
